The Sun and the Moon chasing
each other against the Universe pull
Passionate heat rebounds on a stone face cold
Clothed creatures the world carrying
in winter chill along stumble
while of spring warm dreaming
Desire sweeps the world up to the pinnacles
while fierce lions crouching, jumping upon a deer
letting loose the animal from the inner self
Greed, self preservation build iron cages upon the Mother Earth
Paradise gained and lost sinks
into an abyss under thunder storms
Only in libraries great works shine forever
Mediocre power digs its shallow grave
Winter in rolling high
Shelves of books like
the Great Wall of China shivering
while the radiance of wisdom drinks
to the tune of dragging spring
