诚邀座谈会主讲人

2015年七月的北美南大校友联欢会的主轴活动节目之一《座谈会》,是为校友们设置以分享校友们在南大校园和海外生活经历的平台。从云南园出来,背着受华文教育的包袱,留洋欧美,眨眼已有半个世纪的历史,当中值得缅怀及分享的经历必定难于数量。

这次座谈会分《我的故事》和《校友与子女们的对话》两个座谈题目和两种不同型式。我们希望能争取多位校友和他们的第二代家眷参加。让他们有机会和大家分享个人和家庭多姿多彩的留学生涯和生活经历,也为联欢会添增情趣。

为了争取校友们最大限度的参与,座谈会主持小组虽然欢迎和准备考虑接受任何主讲课题和请求,不过希望选择参加《我的故事》的主讲者的内容能尽量联系下列几个要点:
 1. 故事生动有趣,发人深省和令人回味
 2. 与受南洋大学,或受华文教育,或留洋海外生活有关
 3. 与南大生的第二代生活有关
 4. 讲话时间最好不超过五分鈡
 5. 每个主讲后将有五分鈡与听众交流的时间
 6. 讲话时可以用如 Power Point 或图表等辅助
 7. 每个主讲题目可以有共同主讲者

至于报名参加《校友与子女们的对话》座谈者,到时将由主持人和听众共同提问和探讨两代之间共同经历的经验和认识等课题。

有意报名参加座谈会主讲者和对话的校友们和第二代,请填妥附件表格,然后呈交座谈会其中任何一位负责人。报名截止日期是2015年3月1日。收到表格后本负责小组会个别回复。希望校友们能踊跃报名参加此项活动。

Call for 2015 Reunion Forum Speaker Proposal

The 2015 Reunion of Nanyang University ("Nantah") North American Alumni in July is organized to mark the half-a-century history of Nantah graduates seeking further studies overseas. One of the major programmes will be the "Speaker Forum". There will be two sessions of the forum. The title of the morning session is "My Story" and the afternoon session is "The Dialogue".

For the morning "My Story" session, the organizing committee of the forum is looking for speakers who would use this platform to share their memorable and interesting stories with the audience relating to their experiences while studying and living at Nanyang University and overseas. In order to encourage everyone to participate this exciting activity, the forum organizing committee will consider any proposed speech topic and request. However, you are encouraged to relate your proposal and speech using the following guidelines:
 1. Be interesting, motivating, and thought provoking
 2. Relating to time spent at Nanyang university and/or being Chinese educated
 3. Relating to being the children of Nanyang U. graduates/Chinese educated parents
 4. Relating to your overseas experience
 5. The speech should preferably be no more than five minutes long
 6. There will be a five minutes of Q&A by the audience after your speech/presentation
 7. Use of presentation tools such as Power Point and charts are allowed
 8. The story can be told by more than one person within the time limit

For the afternoon "The Dialogue" session, the participants will be divided into two teams, i.e. "The parents - Nantah graduates" and "The 2nd Generation - graduate's children". They will be given a set of topics by the session moderator and the audiences for discussion. These topics may include, for example, "What were the challenges of the children growing up in a Nanyang University graduate family?"

We sincerely invite you to fill up the attached submission form and participate in this important event. The closing date for the submission is March 1st, 2015 the latest. You will be acknowledged after we receive your submission.
